Description:
This magnificant wilderness attracts adventurers of all type.  Its waterways, backcountry campsites, outposts and lodges are accessed by road and water or by air.  Aptly named after its resident woodland caribou, the park is home to other boreal forest dwellers such as wolves, wolverine and moose.  This is a cultural landscape, steeped in history as evident by ancient pictographs.  Park permits, information and merchandise are available at the park office and the Red Lake Regional Heritage Centre.
